For all episodes to date, my producer responsibilities included:
Participating in the show concepting process
Managing guest curation and booking
Working with the editor and sound engineer to achieve the overall vision for each episode
Creating prep docs and drafting interview questions for the host
Drafting narration and coaching the host’s read in-studio
Editing the trailer
Directing and organizing the production schedule and workflow
I edited 12 episodes of this show across seasons 1 & 2. I also produced season 2 in its entirety. The podcast received a MarCom Gold Award and an AVA Digital Gold Award.
For all 10 episodes of season 2, my producer responsibilities included:
Shaping the direction of season 2 through extensive research on guests/topics
Pitching, booking and conducting pre-interviews with all guests ahead of recording
Producing all interviews from the field and creating prep documents with interview questions for the host
Managing the team’s production and post-production workflows; collaborating with freelance editors and sound engineers to ensure we met all deadlines
Helping create social media content, including photos and isolating audio selects for audiograms
Selecting music and other sound, drafting narration and ad scripts, generating transcripts, publishing and keeping our audio files organized
For all episodes to date, my producer responsibilities included:
Participating in the show concepting process and pitching the idea to the client
Designing the tone, style and format of the show
Creatively sourcing all guests, including any anonymous guests
Working with the editor, sound engineer to achieve the overall vision for each episode
Drafting narration and coaching the host’s read in-studio
Creating and editing the trailer
Directing and organizing the production schedule and workflow
Across the three episodes that I worked on, my producer responsibilities included:
Communicating with guests about sensitive and personal content
Scheduling and staffing interviews with three guests
Conducting pre-interviews with three guests
Creating prep docs and drafting interview questions for host
Drafting narration and coaching the host’s read in-studio
Working with the editor to determine focus of episodes and field host/client feedback
Publishing remaining four episodes in hosting platform
As the associate producer on 12 episodes, my responsibilities included:
Recruiting, vetting and prepping guests for 12 episodes
Sourcing guests across the country through local news coverage
Creating prep docs for hosts and briefing them ahead of recording
